Training and placement cell, SDDGPI in collaboration with Mahindra group organized a soft skill training session for pre final year students and final year students of dental, pharmacy and nursing department for assured placements. Ms. Deepali,Mr. Sudeep Ghosh – expert soft skill trainers from Mahindra Group came to SDDGPI Campus to give training to these girls for 6 days- 27th May,2024 to 2nd June,2024. Mahindra Group has been actively involved in soft skills and employability training through various initiatives.
On the day -1 of this training, Students were guided about resume making , how to make a LinkedIn profile and how to use to advantage in a professional career. Day 2training went on discussing how to introduce themselves in an interview . On day-3, There was a learning process about verbal Etiquettes for the interview(tone, pitch etc.) and nonverbal Etiquettes for the interview (Body language etc.) . Students had a great experience on day-4 when they were told about the concepts of GD and students were made to perform in a GD followed by mock GD Sessions. Day-5 of this training Comprises of email etiquettes, communication etiquettes for Video conferencing and telephonic interviews whereas on day-6, they were made aware about the professional dressing and grooming techniques for the interview.
On the last day of the training feedback was taken from all the students and they were given certificates for successfully completing this training. In additionto that students who performed well in the assessments given by the trainer were also rewarded with trophies and prizes.
Soft skills workshops in colleges have become increasingly important to enhance students' employability and overall personal development. These workshops typically focus on various skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and leadership.
