Principal
Prof. RC Arora, Principal, has a strong academic profile enriched with vast experience of more than four decades. He has the expertise in many domains of Engineering, Research, Teaching and Administration. Being an active member of many reputed professional bodies, he has shared his research experience in various conferences/ symposia at national & international platforms and has several publications to his credit. He has a strong passion for Human Resource Development and has implemented a number of innovative ideas while serving as Principal/Additional Director at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh and Faculty Member at NIT, Kurukshetra. He is associated with many institutions/universities as an expert member on their Board of Studies/Selection Committees, has coordinated a number of training programmes exclusively for foreign nationals and has helped innovators to convert their ideas into the product form through TePP programme funded by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Prof. Arora has a keen sense of responsibility and is known for his competence, perseverance & leadership qualities.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
3-Year Diploma Course
⇨ Passed Matriculation/SSC Examination.
⇨ Obtained at least 35% marks(33% in case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes category or Kashmiri Migrants category) in the qualifying examination.
⇨ Pass compulsorily in Mathematics and Science subjects in the qualifying examination.
2- Year Diploma Course (Lateral Entry)
⇨ All those candidates who have passed ITI of at least two years duration (after 10th), 10+2(vocational) or 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths(PCM) will be eligible for consideration in various Diploma Engineering courses on the basis of merit/rank obtained in the qualifying examination and as per the compatibility of courses.
Admission Procedure
Admission to the first year of the 3-year Diploma Course is made on the basis of inter-se-merit/rank prepared on the basis of %age of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, through online off-campus counseling by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). 75% of the seats shall be filled by the HSTES and rest 25% seats shall be filled through the Management Quota on the basis of merit of qualifying examination.

Faculty
The college has more than 60 well-qualified & dedicated faculty having vast academic & industrial experience in their respective disciplines. The team, including the Principal, is well experienced in imparting theoretical & practical training. Staff members are deputed for refresher courses and training programs in reputed organizations to keep themselves abreast with the latest developments in their respective fields.
Training Methodology
Apart from the class-room teaching and lab practices, students are guided to explore their full potential. Students are made aware of the up-to-date developments, through digital techniques, using the smart class rooms. They learn a lot when taken out for educational visits to industries & companies of repute. The 4-6 week industrial attachment at the end of fourth semester brings them face-to-face with the real-life situations of the corporate world. The students, who are from various parts of country, including foreign nationals, take keen interest in the project work and various co-curricular activities.
Laboratories
The major laboratories in the college include: Applied Mechanics Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Thermal Lab, Automobile Lab, CNC & CAD Lab, Computer Center, Workshops, Basic Electronics l \ab, Communication lab, Microprocessor lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Digital Electronics Lab, Soil Testing Lab.
Infrastructure
The college is located in a 3 storey building comprising of Lecture Halls, Tutorial Rooms, Laboratories, Drawing Halls, Workshops, Library, Computer Centre, Faculty & Administrative offices. Most of the Lecture Halls are fitted with Smart Boards, Projection Systems etc. which makes the teaching more effective.
High speed 1:1 RF connectivity, Internet Facility having a bandwidth of 20 Mbps is available for the students round the clock. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
Departments
Applied Sciences Department
Applied Sciences is a discipline of science that applies existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications like technology or inventions. Students are taught the concepts of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computers etc.
The Department, headed by Mr. Satya Pal, trains the students in number of labs e.g. Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Computer Machines, Communication Skills, Electronics, Electrical and Workshops e.g. Fitting, Carpentry, Painting, Welding, Foundry, Sheet Metal and Electronics.
Students are imparted knowledge through charts and models as well. Students are made to work on various projects like ‘A single movable pulley and the mechanical advantage’, ‘How to make a periscope’, and ‘How different search engines work’.
Electrical Engineering Department
The Department, headed by Sh. SR Saini, has eight well equipped laboratories which help the students in sharpening their skills. Hands-on experience gained by working in these labs which includes Machine Labs, Power Labs, Computer Labs, Instrumental Labs. Electrical Workshop coupled with theoretical knowledge prepares them for their careers ahead.
Students undergo a 8-week industrial training programme in reputed industries/ institutions at the end of 4th semester.
The students work, during final year, on projects which have some societal and industrial applications, a few of these being: Auto-Signaling System, Automatic Water Level Control in overhead tanks and Modeling of Hydropower Plants. The pass-outs have been suitably placed in BEL, BHEL, Khaitan, Electricity Boards etc.
Electronics and Communication Engineering Department
The students of this Department get trained in well equipped labs, some of which are: Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Design and Fabrication, Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, Wireless and Mobile Communication and Microprocessor.
Students also update their knowledge during the 8-week industrial attachment period, at the end of 4th semester while working in selected government and private organizations, where they work on online industrial projects. Some of our students have undergone training at HCL, BSNL, AIRTEL, C-DAC etc.
As a part of curriculum, students develop some projects of relevance during final year. A few of such projects, developed by students are: Earthquake Alarm, Automatic Water-Level Indicator, Door Sensors, and Regulated Power Supply. Our students found placements in companies like HCL, AIRTEL, WIPRO, L&T etc.
Computer Engineering Department
The Department, headed by Mr. Mukesh Kumar, has well equipped Computer Laboratories having more than 100 computers with latest configurations. A few of these labs are: C/C++ Programming, Data Structure, Web Designing, Computer Hardware & Networking, Visual Basics, Digital Electronics, Java, Multimedia & Graphics, Database Management and Security.
Students undergo 8-week industrial training at the end of 4th Semester where they work on innovative ideas on industry related problems.
As a part of the curriculum, students have worked on various projects like Automatic Teller machine, Online Shopping System, Multilevel Marketing, Cloud Computing etc. Our pass-out students have been successfully placed in companies like DELL, HCL, BHEL, INFOTECH etc.
Mechanical Engineering Department
The Department, headed by Mr. Satish Kumar, is equipped with modern labs and workshops to prepare the students to meet fast changing industrial requirements. Students get trained in more than 10 labs, e.g. CAD, CNC, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, Applied Thermodynamics, Strengths of Materials, Applied Mechanics, IC Engine, Materials & Metallurgy, Hydraulic & Hydraulic Machines and Welding, Carpentry, Pattern Making, Machine Shop etc.
Students undergo a 6-8 week industrial training at the end of 4th Semester. Students work on various projects like Multi-Car Parking System, Hydrobike, Wind-Mill Turbine, Solar-Based Mini Refrigerator System, Compressed Air Vehicle etc. which find industrial applications. The pass-out students have been suitably placed in reputed organizations, for example, Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, BHEL, Bajaj Automobiles etc.
Civil Engineering Department
The Department headed by Mr. Satish Kumar, has well equipped labs, e.g. Structure Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Geo-Tech, Concrete Technology, Surveying, Water Supply & Waste Water Treatment, Environment Engineering and Transportation.
As a part of the Curriculum, students participate in a 10 days survey camp along with 8-weeks where they come across the natural terrains, buildings and highways etc. and apply their knowledge to put the building details on paper.
The pass-out students have been successfully placed in Public Health Engineering Departments, Irrigation Departments, CPWD, Indian Railways, L&T etc.
Library
The Institute has AC library with around 25200 books on Engineering & Science subjects. In addition, the Institute subscribes to 31 National Journals & Magazines for use by the faculty and students. The library is quite spacious, having Reading Hall, Books storage and Internet facility.
Extra- curricular Activities
Emphasis is laid on overall personality development of the students. They are motivated to take part in debates, sports, group discussions etc. Special workshops/ programs are regularly organized by an expert team to improve their soft skills which help them in their inter-personal communications. Guest lectures are also arranged, from time to time, to have them a feel of the Entrepreneurial Traits.
