ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. The admission to the B.Ed. course is made on the basis of marks in the Qualifying Examination and through ON-LINE counseling by the authorized State University of Haryana Govt.
2. The admission to D.Ed. regular course is done by the SCERT, Gurgaon on the basis of merit of marks obtained in 10+2 examination.
Eligibility conditions for admission to B.Ed.
For Unreserved Category: Candidates with at least 50% marks in Graduation (Any Stream)
For SC/ST/ PH Category: Candidates with at least 47.5% marks in Graduation (Any Stream)
Note:
(i) There shall be no rounding off of percentage of marks of the qualifying examination from 0.5% and above to next higher number for determining the eligibility i.e. 49.5% and above will not be rounded off to 50%.
(ii) 47.5% marks for SC/ST candidates.
(iii) 45% marks for blind / physically handicapped and visually impaired candidates.
(iv) Compartmental candidates will not be allowed admission in B.Ed. (regular course) in any case.

Note:
Reappear/Compartment/Result Later etc. candidates will not be allowed admission in B.Ed. & D.Ed., in any case.
Fee Structure
Fees to be charged for B.Ed. and D.Ed. Courses shall be as per the State Government/ Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra/ Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind / SCERT norms.

Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind and SCERT, Gurgaon. Combinations of subjects prescribed by the Kurukshetra University and Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind are offered in multi-lingual medium i.e. English, Hindi and Punjabi.

The college is having well stocked library with more than 10000 books, 15 Journals and 4 online Journals. It also has well equipped Resource Centers i.e. Language Resources Centre, ICT Resource Center, Science and Mathematics Resource Center, Health and Physical Education Resource Center, Psychology Resources Center, Art and Craft Resource Center, Social Studies Resource Center, Curriculum Laboratory etc.
Principal
Dr. Shikha Bajpai, Principal, Shree Satguru Dev College of Education, more than 12 years of experience in the field of Education. She has done M.A. in English, Sanskrit, Hindi and Psychology from Jiwaji University Gwalior (M.P.) She has also done M.Ed and Ph.D (Education) from Jiwaji University Gwalior. She has participated in over 25 national as well as international conferences, workshops and seminars. 10 research papers published in various national and international journals. 5 webinars attended during (COVID19 Pandemic). She is also NCC “C” certificate holder. Besides of this under her leadership, all universitities and colleges where she had worked, has excelled in academics as well as in various other extra-curricular activities.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED
1. Morning assembly is integral part of college activity as it helps in the social & moral development. Every day activities are: College Prayer Thought of the Day, News.
2. Teaching practice is an important component of becoming a teacher. It grants student teachers experience in the actual teaching and learning environment. During teaching practice, a student teacher is given the opportunity to try the art of teaching before actually getting into the real world of the teaching profession. During Teaching Practice oral and written feedback are given by the teacher in-charge. Peer trainees also observe the lesson and record them in the observation schedules.
3. National Seminar was conducted on May 8th, 2017 on topic “steep decline in moral and spiritual practices in Indian culture and tradition: role of education”. Resource persons were Courses Offered Discipline Duration Seats Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Regular 2 year course 200 Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) Regular 2 year course 50 Dr. Harish Kumar, Ex- Prof. P.U. Chandigarh, Dr. Puran Singh, Chairman ; Deptt. Of Education; K.U.K. and Dr. Kulwinder Singh, Professor, Punjabi Univ. Patiala.
4. National Seminar was conducted on 22 April, 2018, on the topic “Life Skill based Education”.
5. Workshop was conducted on May 19th on Yoga.
6. Orientation programme –cum- hawan held on inaugural day of B.Ed & D.Ed. classes on August 28th; 2016.
7. Orientation programme –cum- hawan held on inaugural day of B.Ed & D.Ed. classes in year 2018 & 2019.
8. Talent Hunt and Fresher Party were organized on October 22nd; 2016
9. Talent Hunt and Fresher Party were organized year 2017.
10. Competitions were conducted on the occasion of Karwa chauth and Deepawali. Competition of Nail Art, Hair-Styling, Saree- Draping, Mehndi, Artificial flower making, Diya decoration, Candle decoration, Rangoli etc. were conducted.
11. New year & Christmas was celebrated on 24th December; 2016.
12. Sports day was celebrated.
13. After B.Ed and M.Ed many students were placed in School and colleges.
Career Opportunities after B.Eed
⇨ To become a successful professional in teaching field one should have a minimum qualification in Bachelor of Education. The job opportunities for these professionals are numerous. They can find employment in various government, government aided and private institutions. The B.Ed graduates can teach at middle, secondary and senior secondary school levels.
⇨ Students can pursue M.Ed. also. After M.Ed. students can find employment as lecturers in various universities or colleges anywhere in the country.
⇨ There is scope for job at organizations that are engaged in educational administration, promotion, research, regulatory and consulting work, such as National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), State Councils of Educational Research and Training (SCERTs), National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), Educational Consultants India (EdCIL), and UNICEF.
⇨ Private sector: The growth of commercial private sector in education has expanded the choice of careers for B.Ed. degree-holders.
⇨ Content writers & Counselors: There are also employers who need academic content writers and academic counselors.
Colleges of education have traditionally been dominated by students of humanities, but the B.Ed. course has lately been attracting students of an increasingly wider range of academic backgrounds. B.Tech graduates, Media professionals, MBA graduates, air hostesses and people from a variety of professions are choosing to pursue B.Ed. owing to more and better prospects, not just in India but also overseas.
