Dr. Rita Goyal is Ph.D, M.phil, MBA.M.Com and MBE, currently Director of Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Management Studies. She has more than 20 years of extensive experience in academic administration and research in reputed education Institutions. She has published & presented more than 30 research papers in National / International journals, conferences, workshops and seminars She has guided more than 100 research projects of management and to guided M.phil and Ph.D research scholars.

She has published 3 books in the field of management and author of several chapters of Distance Education booklets of MBA and PGDBM of Kurushetra University. She had a member of Board of studies in Maharishi Markandeshwar University(Mullana).She helped in finalized the curriculum of management courses. Her keen interest is in the area of Economics, Human Resource and Organizational Behaviour. She strongly believe in maintaining the harmony and discipline in academics and raise the institution to the excellent horizons.

Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Management Studies started functioning as an independent Institute of Swami Devi Dyal Group of Professional Institutions from the session 2008-09 with an intake of 60 students. The Institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Today, Kurukshetra University is offering world-class education to students from throughout India and other countries by providing a learning experience designed to develop intellectual abilities, as well as social, moral and ethical values.

Placement Cell
The Institute has a full time active placement cell focused on placement preparations and arranges final placements of the students by conducting various diagnostic placement activities. The Placement activity at SDDIMS is managed by the Placement Officer. However, recognizing the importance of placement activity, institute has a centralized placement committee to provide overall supervision and direction for final as well as summer and on-the-job placement of the students. The committee consists of a Placement Officer, Placement Co-Coordinator, a group of faculty members and student members, who work in close co-ordination with the industry. In the present session 2021-22 our students have got multiple placement offers through in house campus placement drives.

Computer Labs
The institute has two air conditioned computer labs is spread over two floors and is equipped with over 120 Networked computers with an “ALWAYS ON” internet access. Wi-Fi access, Hot Spots have also been provided for the students.

Teaching Methodology
Our SDDIMS Places heavy emphasis on the contemporary tools of presentation along with traditional lecture methods, case analysis, simulation exercises, industry oriented project works etc. The course material and lesson plans are thoroughly reviewed before implementation. The teaching methodology is designed to make the students capable of gaining a holistic perspective of management. The inclusion of a summer placement project with institution training for 6 weeks during the First year vacation helps the students to realize the practice of the business world.

Workshop, Seminar & Conferences
The institute is organizing regular workshops/ seminars for the development of Faculty and Students. Some of the workshops/seminars organized by the institute include marketing research, communication skills development, financial strategic management, recent development in human resource and entrepreneurship development.

Regular Industrial Visits & Guest Lectures
Every semester regular industrial visits are scheduled to meet out the corporate learning experience for the students.

Personality development programmes by professional trainers
The institute is organizing PDP Classes on regular basis for the overall development of the students. The main focus on Case Studies, Extempore, Ad-Mad Show, Debate and Declamation , Management Games, Group Discussion, seminars and presentation to encourage an individual to become more self-aware and self-reliant and pay attention to their overall growth while planning for the future.

The institute has spacious library and reading rooms covers a large collection of text books, reference, periodicals, national and international management Journals. The books are Indexed by author and title with a computerized search system to assist students in located their Information.
