SDDIET, established in 2001, happens to be one of the oldest and well reputed Engineering Institutions of Haryana. The Institute has been awarded the International Quality Standards Certificate ISO 9001:2008 based on its Conformance to International Quality Standards in the field of Professional Education. The Institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. The Institute is presently offering 4 years B. Tech. program and 2 years M.Tech program in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. It also offers 2 years program of Masters in Business Administration.

B.TECH - Eligibility for 4 Year B. Tech. Programs

4 Year 1. Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
2. . Obtained 45% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics for General Category and 42.75%* for the reserve category candidates in these subjects. Else,
A. Passed Diploma examination of three years duration from an AICTE Approved institution; with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.

B. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

C. Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first Year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.

D. Provided further that, the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma Stream.

E. Provided further that students, who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved institution or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However the admissions shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B and D above.
Admission Procedure for B. Tech

Admission in the first year of B. Tech courses is made on the basis of the result of the entrance examinations i.e. inter se merit of JEE (Mains) for B.Tech.
75% of the sanctioned intake of admissions will be made through online/ off campus counseling by Haryana State Counseling Society, Haryana as scheduled by the HSCS. The management Quota seats (25% of the sanctioned intake including 15% seats for children/wards of NRI’s) for B.Tech Courses will be filled as per:
1. JEE (Mains) merit ranking.
2. Merit based on percentage of marks in 10+2 in PCM.

Admission Procedure for 2nd year B. Tech (Lateral Entry- LEET)
Admission to the 2nd Year B.Tech courses shall be made on the basis of the merit of Entrance Test examination (i.e. inter se merit of LEET).

75% of the sanctioned seats in this category shall be filled ON Line / OFF campus counseling by HSCS, as scheduled. Remaining 25% of seats of this category shall be filled by the Management on the basis of merit of LEET/ Diploma or equivalent.

MBA - Eligibility for 2 Year MBA Program

Obtained at least 50% marks (47.5% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the Qualifying Examination.

Admission Procedure for MBA
Admission in the MBA Course will be made on the basis of the result of the Entrance Examinations (i.e. inter se merit of MAT).
For 75% of the sanctioned intake, admissions will be made through ONLINE/ OFF CAMPUS counseling by Haryana State Counseling Society, Haryana Technical Education Department.
The Management Quota seats (25% of the sanctioned intake including 15% seats for children/ wards of NRIs) for MBA will be filled as per:
1. MAT ranking.
2. Merit based on percentage marks in qualifying examination

Admission Procedure for M.Tech
Admission in the M.Tech. courses will be made on the basis of the merit of the Entrance Examination conducted by the university as authorized by Haryana Government, followed by the counseling to be conducted by the concerned University. The left over seats are to be filled at the Institutional level on the basis of the merit of Entrance Test/ B.Tech. Merit.
