Program Offered
Apart from imparting theoretical knowledge, a lot of stress is laid on hands-on training and overall development of individual’s personality. The teaching-learning program have been devised to enhance industry-readiness of students. The major subjects covered in this program include Data Structures, Computer Architecture, Microprocessors, Database Management Systems, Computer Graphics, Computer Networks, Operating System, Software Engineering, Project Management, Network Security and Cryptography etc. The M.Tech. students are trained in Advanced Algorithms, Distributed Operating System, Image Processing, Advanced Computer Networks, Security in Computing, Software Testing and Quality Control, Advanced Computer Architecture, Simulation and Optimization techniques.

Faculty
The department has a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty working under the leadership of Mrs. Nidhi Sharma, having good teaching experience.

Laboratories
The Department has well equipped computer laboratories having more than 500 computers with latest configuration. The important Lab-work of the department includes C/C++ Programming Lab, Data Structure, Internet Fundamentals, Web Designing, Microprocessor and Interfacing, Unix & Linux, Database Management Systems, Computer Hardware & Networking, Multimedia & Graphics and Software Engineering. All licensed softwares such as Turbo C, MS Office, Oracle, Windows, SQL Server, as per curriculam requirement are available in the laboratories. We are managing Linux laboratories and conducting project work from reputed organizations.

Project Work and Industrial Training
The students work on innovative ideas and problems from industry as Project Work in their Final Year. They learn to work in teams. The students undergo industrial training of six weeks after 2nd and 3rd years as part of the curriculum to make themselves aware of the Industrial Environment & work on Live Projects. Important organizations where students have undergone training are Infosys, L&T Infotech, C-DAC, Dell, Wipro Technologies etc.

Placement
Faculty members of the Department monitor the programming skills and overall development for the placement of the students. They train their students according to the demands of IT companies. The major companies which have employed our students include Infosys Technologies, L & T Infotech, IBM India, HCL, Hughes Communication India, Dell International, Wipro Technology, Accenture and Computer Science Corporation etc.
